This indenture made and entered into this twentieth day of August in the year of our lord One thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty two Between Nicholas E. Pile of this County and State afore said of the One part and Everett Pile of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth (?) that the said Nicholas E. Pile for and in consideration of the love and affection that he entertains for his Son Everett Pile he does by these presents give grant and bequeath unto the said Everett Pile his heirs and assigns one Negro girl by the name of Ham, ten years of age and one sorrel horse about five years old and all his stock of cattle & sheep To have and to hold the above described property unto him this said Everett Pile his heirs and assigns. Together with all and singular the rights xxx and appurtenances thereof to this same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Nicholas E. Pile for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators the said bargained property unto the said Everett Pile his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against the claim of himself and of all other persons whatsoever.
