This indenture made this twenty sixth day of August Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and thirty four between Charity Pyle, Nicholas E. Pyle and James B. Pyle all of the county & state aforesaid and Abraham Pyle of the County of Jasper & State aforesaid, and Peter Pyle of the County of Fayette and State aforesaid and John Pyle, Samuel Pyle and John Westbrook of the state of Alabama and county of Sumpter and Thomas Pyle of the County of Dallas and State of Alabama all of whom are of the one part and Lewis Hayes of the county of Henry and State of Georgia of the other part.  Witneseth that the said persons of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and doth by these presents grant bargain & sell to the said Lewis Hayes all that tract or parcel of land lying and being situate in the county of Henry & State of Georgia containing Three hundred three and three fourth acres by the same more or less known and distinguished in the plan of survey by lot No Two and district the sixth of the said Henry County containing two hundred two & a half acres and half of the lot of land No one in the said district and county it being the one half and the north half of the said lot of land number one containing one hundred one & a quarter acres.  To have & to hold the said bargained premises together with all & singular the rights members & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining and the said persons of the first part above duly named doth warrant and defend the titles to the said bargained premises to the said Lewis Hayes his heirs Executors etc (?) to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof in fee simple forever against themselves and against their xxx (probably administrators) Executors etc (?) and against all persons whomsoever claiming the same .  In testimony whereof the said Charity Pyle, Nicholas E. Pyle, James B. Pyle Abraham Pyle, Peter Pyle, John Pyle, Samuel Pyle, John Westbrook and Thomas Pyle have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals the day and year first above written.

This is to certify that I hereby sell and relinquish all my rights and title to the land specified on the opposite leaf or page to Lewis Hayes and hereby bind myself my heirs etc (?) to defend the title of the same to the said Lewis Hayes his heirs etc (?) against myself & heirs and all person or persons claiming the same.  In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 26th day of August 1834.
